board & MISSION
Mission Statement
The mission of the Mercer Island Water Polo Club is to support and maintain a water polo team on an ongoing basis as an integral part of the athletic program at Mercer Island High School.
The Club desires to promote water polo in ways that enhance the educational opportunities of high school students while developing strong fundamental skills, good sportsmanship, and a love for the game that will last a lifetime.
We believe that the sport of water polo is a way to promote excellence in the lives of young people and to teach students valuable life skills that will benefit them long after their athletic careers are over.
The values of a positive attitude, respect for one’s self, coaches and teammates, and the desire to work hard are fundamental to the water polo program at Mercer Island High School.
All of our players from beginner to advanced will be given an opportunity to play and compete in order to reach team and individual player goals.
